The U.S. military’s Transportation Command said it is extending contracts with six operators of U.S. flag ships: Maersk Line Ltd., American President Lines Ltd., Farrell Lines, American Roll-on, American Roll-off Carrier, Liberty Global Logistics, and Hapag-Lloyd USA.
The modifications will extend the period of performance under the Universal Services Contract-6 Program for an additional 45 days, or from July 1 to Aug. 14. The contracts provide ocean and intermodal distribution services worldwide for the Defense Department.
