ECONOCARIBE EXPANDS LCL SERVICE WORLDWIDE
Econocaribe Consolidators Inc. has expanded beyond its Latin niche to provide weekly less-than-containerize service to Europe, the Mediterranean, the Mideast/Far East, Africa and the Indian subcontinent.
With the expansion, Econocaribe provides direct service from its Miami base, doubling its destinations to more than 80 worldwide, via the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Cleve & Zonen will coordinate distribution of Econocaribe's service via Rotterdam.
“For years Econocaribe turned away opportunities to establish global accounts because we could not offer a service to Europe that met the high standards of our Caribbean/Latin America system,” said Dan Rocke, global accounts manager.
Econocaribe, a neutral NVO, serves more than 40 destinations with weekly consolidations into Latin America and the Caribbean. It operates from a more than 1-million-square-foot bonded warehouse in Miami.
