MOL TO PHASE IN THREE 5,500-TEU SHIPS ON ASIA-EUROPE ROUTE
MOL will phase in three new 5,500-TEU containerships in the JEX Asia-Europe service of the New World Alliance by mid-August.
The weekly service is operated jointly by APL, Hyundai Merchant Marine and MOL.
The first new 5,500-TEU ship, the MOL Advantage, will join the service on March 12. It will be followed by sister ships MOL Integrity in June and MOL Solution in August.
The three vessels will replace smaller vessels of about 4,800-TEU capacity.
The New World Alliance is also expected to start a fourth weekly loop between Asia and northern Europe this year.
