Delta starts first ever Atlanta/Moscow flights
Delta Air Lines Wednesday started daily non-stop flights between Atlanta and Moscow.
Delta said the service is the first ever non-stop service from the U.S. Southeast to the Russian capital city.
The service uses a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft and made its maiden flight today from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to Moscow.
The Atlanta/Moscow flights will operate on a daily basis between June and September, and four times per week during the winter, returning to a daily frequency in May 2006.
Delta said it is the only U.S. airline to serve Russia nonstop and also serves Moscow from its John F. Kennedy International Airport hub.
