Unishippers reports strong results in 2015

The Salt Lake City, Utah-based third-party logistics provider posted revenues of $451 million for 2015.

   Unishippers Global Logistics had revenues of $451 million for 2015, the company said.
   In addition, the third-party logistics provider achieved a record-breaking revenue in June of $44.4 million.
   “There have been many notable highlights for the company over the past year, including the launch of our new best-in-class, user-friendly transportation management website which provides our customers with access to an easy-to-use dashboard and the sale of 20 franchises to new owners,” Unishippers Global Logistics President Kevin Lathrop said in a statement.
   In addition, Unishippers’ subsidiary Launch Logistics, LLC experienced strong growth throughput in 2015 and accelerated its hiring efforts to meet demand. The subsidiary, which is only in its second year, has an estimated annual revenue of more than $20 million, Launch Logistics President Joe Curtis said.
   Based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, Unishippers offers small package and heavy freight services, including less than truckload, full truckload and air freight, through nearly 300 franchise locations and affiliates across the United States. The company partners with Saia, Estes, YRC Freight, UPS Freight and other major carriers to manage the pickup, transport and delivery of customers’ shipments.
