SENATE COMMERCE TO ADDRESS NOMINATIONS, MARK UP LEGISLATION
' On Thursday, the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation will address six nominations and mark up transportation-related legislation.
The nominations are John Arthur Hammerschmidt to member of the National Transportation Safety Board; Jeffrey William Runge to administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration; Nancy Victory to assistant secretary of Commerce for the communications and information; Otto Wolff to assistant secretary of Commerce and chief financial officer; Kirk K. Van Tine to general counsel of the Transportation Department; and Mary Sheila Gall to chairman of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The legislation of the committee’s schedule for mark up include the Aviation Delay Prevention Act (S.633); Coast Guard Authorization Act (S.951); Child Passenger Protection Act (S.980); and the Port and Maritime Security Act (S.1214).
