MANUGISTICS TRIMS RED INK
Manugistics Group Inc., a Rockville, Md.-based supply-chain software
developer, has reported narrower losses for the third quarter and nine-month periods ended
Nov. 30.
Manugistics reported a third quarter net loss of $4.8 million, compared to a
net loss of $10.4 million last year. Third quarter revenue slipped more than 16 percent to
$35.8 million.
Year-to-date, Manugistics reported a net loss of $7.8 million, compared to a
$24.9 million loss last year, on a 20.6 percent drop in revenue to $108.8 million.
Gregory J. Owens, president and chief executive officer, said Manugistics has
demonstrated "increased momentum in sales execution as evidenced by the 35 percent
sequential growth in license fee revenues."
