BDP LAUNCHES CUSTOMER WEB PORTAL
BDP International, the Philadelphia-based provider of freight forwarding, import customs brokerage and logistics services, said Tuesday it has released a customer Web portal, BDPCustomer.com.
Services available via the portal include transportation rate requests, booking requests, shipment and document track-and-trace, paperless documentation, and global data warehousing analytics.
The portal also offers 500 industry Web-link sites, international time and weather, and a world atlas.
“We built BDPCustomer.com to deliver a practical online tool that would make it easier for international shippers and receivers to gain access to content and functionality that will enable them to make informed decisions faster and more productively,” said Richard J. Bolte, Jr., president of BDP.
The portal guarantees client security through digital certificates and protocols providing for data encryption and client authentication.
