AMERICANA SHIPS RENAMES CCAL
Americana Ships has renamed the services of Christensen Canadian African Line, the North America/Africa niche operator it acquired in August.
The services will now be marketed under the name Lykes Lines, another unit of CP Ships-owned Americana Ships.
Lykes Lines and CCAL had merged their services in July into a two-loop North America/Africa multi-purpose service. This improved frequency and transit times and provided direct ports of call in Canada for Lykes’ customers.
In South Africa, Americana Ships has named Mitchell Cotts Maritime as the agent to represent Lykes and market the former CCAL activities now integrated into Lykes’ business.
Lykes’ North America/Africa services include an U.S. and Canada East Coast/Africa loop and a U.S. and Mexico Gulf/Africa service.
