CARRIERS SWITCH PORTS BETWEEN EUROPE/SOUTH AMERICA SERVICES
Member lines of the VSA3 agreement have decided to switch the ports of Montevideo and Salvador between the Europe/South America Sling 1 and Sling 2 services.
The VSA3 members are Contship Containerlines, Compania Sud Americana de Vapores, Senator Lines, Montemar and P&O Nedlloyd.
The last call at Montevideo on Sling 1 is made by “Monteverde” on Sept. 17. The first call at Salvador is scheduled to made by “P&O Nedlloyd Pantanal” on October 2. Calls at Salvador will be northbound only.
On Sling 2, the last call at Salvador is to be made by “Cape Spear” on Sept. 14. The first call to Montevideo is scheduled for Sept 26. by “Paul Rickmers”.
The Sling 1 service has a sailing frequency of 8 days and its revised service rotation is Rotterdam, Tilbury, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Bilbao, Santos, Paranagua, Buenos Aires, Itajai, Santos, Salvador, Rotterdam, Tilbury, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre and Bilbao.
Sling 2 sails every fortnight and the revised port rotation is Rotterdam, Tilbury, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Paranagua, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Rio de Janeiro, Rotterdam, Tilbury, Hamburg, Antwerp and Le Havre.
