The U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation on Monday evening favorably reported President Obama’s nominees for several positions including:
- Paul Jaenichen, Sr., to be administrator of the Maritime Administration
- Debra Miller, to be a member of the Surface Transportation Board
- Arun Kumar, to be Assistant Secretary for Trade Promotion and Director General of the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service, International Trade Administration
- Kathryn Sullivan, for Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere, and for Administrator for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
