FREIGHTEK OFFERS CUSTOMS CONNECTIVITY FOR AMS
Freightek Inc., a provider of trade and supply chain management solutions, has announced its latest collaboration product, eFocus AMS, an application service platform for transmitting manifest data via U.S. Customs' Automated Manifest System.
The new solution “will make life easier on the NVOs that have little or no automation support,” said Larry Antonucci, president of Freightek, based in Dresher, Pa.
U.S. Customs has published a proposed rule that would require carriers and NVOs to provide electronic manifest details — possibly by year’s end, Antonucci noted.
