Zim announces low-sulfur fuel surcharge

Zim said it will impose a $20-per-TEU low-sulfur fuel charge,
effective Sept. 15, on cargo moving between North
Europe/Mediterranean and North America (all coasts) in both directions.
Zim said the charge is applied to cover the increased cost
of low-sulfur fuel used to comply with regulations in the North America
Emissions Control Area (ECA), which went into effect on Aug. 1.
