Former P&ONL, Danzas CEOs join NOL’s board

Neptune Orient Lines (NOL) has appointed Tim Harris, the former chief executive officer of P&O Nedlloyd, and Peter Wagner, who headed global freight forwarder Danzas, to become non-executive members of its board of directors.

The two senior executives bring a “wealth of industry and business experience to the NOL board”, said NOL chairman Cheng Wai Keung.

Harris has also served on the board of P&O and is currently chairman of marine services company James Fisher and Sons and shipbroking firm Clarkson.

Wagner has held senior positions in the logistics industry in Switzerland, the United States and Germany over the past 25 years. He was appointed CEO of Danzas Holding AG in 1996, and from 1999 to 2001 was also a member of Deutsche Post’s management board responsible for worldwide logistics activities.

The appointment of Harris and Wagner follows the departures of Tim Rhein and the Lim How Teck from the board of NOL.
