DELTA CUSTOMERS BEGIN BOOKING CARGO RESERVATIONS ON GF-X PORTAL
Delta Air Logistics, the cargo division of Delta Air Lines, said this week it has begun accepting cargo bookings via Global Freight Exchange, a neutral cargo reservation system established in 1998.
GF-X maintains information such as schedules, capacity and rates to allow carrier systems to complete transactions.
Delta said last year it was joining GF-X to offer its DASH and Delta Priority First domestic freight services. Delta is phasing in the GF-X platform beginning at its Atlanta hub with launch customer and GF-X member Eagle Global Logistics. Delta plans to make GF-X available to additional domestic and international customers by the end of the third quarter. Both Delta and Air France will offer their SkyTeam Cargo products by the end of the first quarter
