Illinois-based third-party logistics provider Superior Logistics has opened an airside facility at cargo-dedicated Rickenbacker International Airport in Columbus, Ohio.
Superior is leasing 20,000 square feet of office and warehouse space from the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, which operates Rickenbacker International Airport and develops surrounding property.
The company specializes in import deconsolidation – the process of breaking down bulk international shipments into multiple outbound shipments for final inland delivery. The company’s subsidiary Ablaze Transportation serves the landside operation of freight transfer, including pickup and delivery through their road feeder network.
Rickenbacker is served by FedEx, UPS, Evergreen, Kalitta and Southern Air, and is connected intermodally by the Norfolk Southern Rickenbacker Intermodal Terminal.
