AIRBORNE EXPRESS SIGNS CONTRACT TO PROVIDE U.S./ISRAEL SERVICE
Airborne Express said Tuesday it has contracted with Israeli Aircraft
Industries Ltd. to provide air express and cargo service between the United States and
Israel for the aircraft manufacturer and aeronautics firm.
Airborne will handle U.S. inbound and outbound shipments and related
logistics services under the six-year, $60-million contract.
The contract marks a 30 to 35-percent increase over the previous
contract, in which Seattle-based Airborne handled IAI’s U.S. outbound cargo freight and
logistics since 1995.
