Hudd Distribution taking on Maersk name
Maersk Logistics said it will change the name of its Hudd Distribution Services Inc. unit to Maersk Distribution Services Inc. on Jan. 1.
The company’s warehousing and transloading business will operate under the Maersk Distribution brand while the drayage business continues to use the Hudd Transportation brand.
Maersk Logistics acquired Hudd Distribution Services Inc. in 1997.
“To our customers, this new name signifies a long-term commitment to providing the best and most cost-effective service in our warehousing, transloading and drayage business.” said Nick Taro, president, Hudd Distribution Services. “We will have the solid support of the world’s largest container shipping business behind our services.”
