DANZAS MERGES AEI MARUZEN, DANZAS KK IN JAPAN
Danzas has signed an agreement with Maruzen Showa Unyu KK to create a new joint venture company in Japan to be formed through the merger of AEI Maruzen and Danzas KK.
The agreement with Maruzen Showa provides for the integration of Danzas’ wholly owned subsidiary in Japan, Danzas KK, with AEI Maruzen, a 30-year-old joint venture between Maruzen Shows and the former Air Express International Corp. AEI became part of the Danzas Group logistics division of Deutsche Post World Net last year.
The combined company, which will be owned 70 percent by Danzas and 30 percent by Maruzen Showa Unyu, will be called Danzas Maruzen KK.
