COSCIA TO CHAIR NEW YORK-NEW JERSEY PORT AUTHORITY
New Jersey Gov. James E. McGreevey has named Anthony R. Coscia as a commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and virtual chairman-in-waiting.
By tradition, the governor of New Jersey selects the chairman of the bi-state port authority. Coscia is expected to be confirmed as chairman when the port authority's commissioners vote on April 10.
Coscia has served since 1992 as chairman of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, a development bank with $2 billion in assets and $14 billion in financing. He is a partner in the New York law firm of Windels, Marx, Lane & Mittendorf LLP.
