RYDER SYSTEM PICKS ACS FOR COMMUNICATIONS SOLUTION
Ryder System Inc., a Miami-based supply chain and transportation management services provider, has contracted with Affiliated Computer Services, a provider of business process and information technology, to support Ryder's customer response centers in Lexington, Ky., and Salt Lake City.
Under the three-year agreement, ACS personnel will communicate with drivers through an inbound-outbound call process with address and phone tracking capabilities.
With ACS’s assistance, “the service provider response time is 20 minutes, and the time from the report of a breakdown to the completion of repair work is less than two hours,” said Darrin Gillham, program manager for Ryder’s customer response centers.
