Maersk Sealand, Hapag-Lloyd and P&O Nedlloyd, the three carriers of the small United States South Europe Conference, are planning to raise freight rates July 1.
Eastbound, the planned July 1 price increase will be $160 per 20-foot dry container, $200 per 40- or 45-foot dry container, $240 per 20-foot reefer box and $300 per 40-foot reefer container.
The carrier group also reiterated its plan to raise westbound freight rates July 1 by $200 per 20-foot container and $250 per 40-footer.
The conference said its currency adjustment factor will fall from 10 percent to 8 percent June 1, for both eastbound and westbound shipments.
