UNITED CARGO RAISES DOMESTIC RATES
United Cargo, a division of United Airlines, said it will raise its rates for small package delivery, select domestic express and United Cargo two-day markets, effective June 1.
Small package delivery will increase by $2 per piece and other domestic rates will be restructured. This includes rate increases on select Intra-zone bulk and container rates, elimination of weekend discounts, increased minimum charges to select zones (including Hawaii and Alaska) and a new 500-pound bulk weight break.
'Prices for these products have remained flat for a number of years and have not kept up with rising costs,' said Richard Lung, director of revenue management, for Chicago-based United Cargo.
