FMC REVOKES 14 OTI LICENSES, RECEIVES EIGHT APPLICATIONS
The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has revoked the licenses of 14 ocean transportation intermediaries for failing to maintain a valid bond.
The companies whose licenses have been revoked are: Air-Sea Transport (Seattle) Ltd., New Castle, Wash.; A.C.E. Shipping, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Majestic Freight Forwarders Service, Granada Hills, Calif.; DTS Inc., Houston; Federated Transport Systems Inc., Los Angeles; Gateway Express Co. Inc., Los Angeles; Graebel/Houston Movers Inc., Houston; Beluga Carriers, Annapolis, Md.; International Ocean Cargo Inc., Jersey City, N.J.; Lidor Shipping Moving & Storage Inc., Kearny, N.J.; Pac West Trading and Transport Inc., Torrance, Calif.; Paramount Transportation Systems Inc., San Marco, Calif.; Phil Thomas & Son International Co., Lisle, Ill.; and Westwind Overseas Ltd., Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.
Four firms have applied to the FMC for OTI licenses to operate as non-vessel-operating common carriers: New York Logistics Services Inc., Edison, N.J.; Champion International Freight Inc., Las Vegas, Nevada; Coldware Systems LLC, Gloucester, Mass.; and Masters International Logistics Inc., Paramus, N.J.
Two firms have applied for licenses to operate as combination NVOs and ocean freight forwarders: Miami Apparel Services Inc., Medley, Fla. and Faour International Co., Columbus, Ohio.
Two firms have applied for licenses to operate as ocean freight forwarders: BKA Logistics LLC, Washington, D.C.; and Natco International Transports, Miami.
