Devine, Ebeling to receive “Connie” Awards
A terminal executive and leader in the roll-on/roll-off industry are the winners of this year’s “Connie” Awards from the Containerization and Intermodal Institute.
James J. Devine, chief executive officer of the New York Container Terminal at Howland Hook on Staten Island, and Raymond P. Ebeling, CEO of American Auto Logistics and American Roll-on Roll-off Carriers, will be given the awards at Dec. 10 luncheon at the Newark Club in Newark, N.J.
Devine has overseen New York Container Terminal since 2001, coming from CMA-CGM, where he was vice president of operations. Prior to that he had a 26-year career at Sea-Land.
Ebeling is also a Sea-Land veteran, and also worked at the Sea-Train Lines, before joining American Roll-On Roll-Off Carriers, a company that is owned by Wallenius Lines of Stockholm, Sweden, and Wilhelmsen Lines of Oslo, Norway.
The institute will also present special recognitions to Michael B. Berzon and Richard A. Simpson, each for his more than 25 years of voluntary service to the group.
