SJ Consulting adds ocean shipping analyst
Jaideep Koppikar has joined SJ Consulting Group as the Pittsburgh-based firm continues to expand its maritime freight industry consulting practice.
Koppikar has maritime logistics experience in ocean carrier (liner, tanker, bulk), ports and terminal management, intermodal transport and third-party logistics services, and regulatory aspects of international trade, the firm said. He has a masters of science in shipping, trade and finance from Cass Business School in London and a masters in management from Mumbai University in India.
Koppikar has worked for APL Logistics India and Precious Shipping PCL in Bangkok, as well as a tile manufacturer and another shipper.
SJ Consulting provides strategic, pricing, and merger and acquisition advice for the transportation and logistics industries. The company originally focused on domestic trucking, package and express delivery, rail and air cargo, but now provides ocean shipping services as well.
