DACHSER increases revenues 5.2%

The logistics provider saw shipments grow 4.4% in 2014, according to the company’s yearly financial statement.

Logistics provider DACHSER increased revenues 5.2 percent to 5.3 billion euros (U.S. $5.72 billion) for the fiscal year 2014, according to the company’s yearly financial statement.
Including revenue from corporate holdings, revenues in DASCHER’s primary business segments, Road Logistics and Air & Sea Logistics, grew 5 percent to 3.86 billion euros and 8 percent to 1.58 billion euros, respectively.
The company’s European logistics unit increased revenues 5.3 percent to 3.17 billion euros, while its food logistics segment grew 3.7 percent to 687 million euros in yearly revenues.
“A lively spring was followed by an extraordinarily strong fall,” DASCHER CEO Bernhard Simon said of the results. “The trend toward outsourcing internationally complex logistics in particular has made a contribution to the company’s organic growth.”
Looking forward, Simon expects integrated supply chain solutions for multinational customers to be a major source of growth for the company in the years to come. “Our global network, enhanced by our customized contract logistics solutions in Europe, Asia, and the U.S., as well as our own air and sea freight network allow us to create complete supply chains,” he said in the company’s yearly financial statement.
DACHSER began 2015 by changing its legal form to a Societas Europaea. “By taking this action, we have created maximum legal security for our future growth as an international company, and at the same time secured our independence as a 100% family-owned company,” said Simon.
The family-owned company is headquartered in Kempten, Germany, providing comprehensive transport logistics, warehousing, and customer-specific services in its three business lines: DACHSER European Logistics, DACHSER Food Logistics, and DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics.
