RETAILERS BACK NORMAL TRADE RELATIONS WITH CHINA
The International Mass Retail Association welcomed President Bush’s decision to renew normal trade relations with China.
The IMRA urged the U.S. Congress to support Bush’s decision.
“We are pleased that President Bush is asking Congress to renew normal trade relations with China,” said IMRA President Robert J. Verdisco. “While we are concerned with the recent events there, we must not sacrifice our commercial relationship. The relationship is important to consumers in both the United States and China.
