USFREIGHTWAYS REALIGNS LTL MANAGEMENT, NAMES MARKETING EXECUTIVE
USFreightways Corp. has realigned its less-than-truckload and truckload management, and has named Douglas R. Waggoner to the newly created position of senior vice president, strategic marketing.
Waggoner, president and chief operating officer of Daylight Transport, a non-asset based LTL and truckload transportation company based in southern California, will take his new position Feb. 1. Prior to Daylight, he worked for Yellow Freight in sales, operations, marketing and customer service positions.
Following the resignation of Bob Fasso as president of USFreightways' regional carrier group, the company has realigned the group under two senior executives, Pet Neydon, president of USF Holland, and Jared McArthur, president of USF Reddaway.
Neydon will be responsible for USFreightways eastern carrier group, which comprises USF Holland, USF Red Star and USF Glen Moore. Brad Jones, president of USF Red Star, and Mark Martin, president of USF Glen Moore, will report to Neydon.
McArthur will be responsible for the western carrier group, which comprises USF Reddaway, USF Bestway and USF Dugan. Gary Beggs, president of USF Bestway, and Walt Ainsworth, president of USF Dugan, will report to McArthur.
