MAERSK VENEZUELA BUYS STAKE IN PUERTO CABELLO FACILITY

   Maersk Venezuela S.A. is acquiring 49 percent of the shares of the container yard Almacenadora Conacentro S.A. in Puerto Cabello, Venezuela’s main port.

   The facility provides import and export customers with storage facilities for their containers in the port.

   The Almacenadora Conacentro container yard, located close to the main containership berths, operates under a concession from the port authorities on 23,000 square meters of land.

   Almacenadora Conacentro S.A. has signed a contract with Maersk Sealand to service the line’s five weekly services and one fortnightly service to and from Puerto Cabello.
