Queen Alia International Airport grows cargo volumes 9.6% in November

The Jordanian airport handled 8,612 tons of cargo in November 2015, a 9.6 percent increase from the corresponding period in 2014.

   Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) handled 8,612 tons of cargo in November 2015, a 1.7 percent decline month-over-month and a 9.6 percent increase year-over-year, according to figures issued by the Airport International Group (AIG).
   During the first 11 months of 2015, the airport handled 90,928 tons of cargo, a 6.7 percent increase from the corresponding period in 2014.
   QAIA, which is situated 35 kilometers (21.7 miles) south of the center of Jordan’s capital, Amman, was established in 1983. Since November 2007, AIG has been the Jordanian company responsible for the rehabilitation, expansion and operation of the airport.
