U.S. CHAMBER RALLIES FOR NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION INVESTMENTS
U.S. Chamber of Commerce officials asked lawmakers on Capitol Hill to speed up the reauthorization of several transportation investment measures affecting surface and air transportation.
The chamber’s Americans for Transportation Mobility coalition Wednesday pressed leaders in Congress for reauthorization funding measures, such as TEA-21, AIR-21 and the Water Resources Development Act.
“A growing economy relies on an efficient transportation network,” said chamber president and chief executive officer Thomas J. Donohue. “Without improvements, that network will be unable to sustain increased growth and activity in the future.”
