Port organizations agreement aims to boost Latin trade
The Organization of American States' Inter-American Committee on Ports and the International Navigation Association have signed an agreement calling for a relationship of mutual understanding and cooperation between the organizations.
A memorandum of agreement was signed in Houston, where Port of Houston Authority executive director Tom Kornegay said the agreement would help promote trade relationships and opportunities among ports throughout the United States and Latin America.
The International Navigation Association was known as the Permanent International Association of Navigation Congresses, or PIANC.
