RATNATHICAM NAMED CEO OF EMERY WORLDWIDE
Chutta Ratnathicam has been named chief executive officer of Emery Worldwide, the CNF Inc. subsidiary based in Palo Alto, Calif. He replaces Roger Piazza, who has retired.
Ratnathicam has served as CNF's senior vice president and chief financial officer since 1997, after spending six years as Emery's vice president of international. He joined CNF in 1977 and has held several other positions with the company, including director of financial accounting and vice president of internal control. He had served as interim CEO of Emery briefly in 1998 prior to Piazza's appointment.
Piazza was a senior vice president of CNF. He joined CF AirFreight in 1976 and helped develop the forwarder and its merger with Emery Worldwide in 1989, when he was named vice president – North America. He held that title until his appointment as president and CEO in 1998.
