Beedenbender is new ESC president
Embarcadero Systems Corp., a division of terminal operator MTC Holdings and provider of transportation technology services, has announced the appointment of Richard Beedenbender as its new president of ESC, replacing Scott Skillman who left to pursue other opportunities.
MTC Holdings President Douglas Tilden emphasized Beedenbender's industry knowledge, which includes a background in both shipping operations and technology.
Beedenbender joined ESC following four years at Descartes/NeoModal, a global provider of logistics and supply chain management solutions. As senior vice president of Descartes Ocean, he was responsible for integrating two acquired subsidiaries, developing a comprehensive product line, and establishing branding and market awareness.
Prior to Descartes/NeoModal, Beedenbender worked for 25 years at Sea-Land Service, holding a variety of senior management positions: director of business planning and development, vice president information systems, vice president Atlantic division, vice president Americas Division, and finally vice president network management.
