MITAGS PROVIDES SMALL ARMS, OTHER MARITIME SECURITY COURSES
The Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies will provide ship pilots, maritime organizations and government employees with small arms and other security enhancement training programs.
“Over the years, MITAGS has provided professional mariners and the Military Sealift Command with small arms, employee awareness, security assessment, security management and chemical, biological and radiological training,” said Glen Paine, executive director of the Linthicum Heights, Md.-based institute. “As organizations race to provide their employees and the public with increased security, we have opened our security training to all companies throughout this country.”
The four-day course is taught by retired Lt. Jack Lynch USN, former Navy Seal instructor.
