CARU, TCG establish new container leasing company

CARU Containers and private investment firm Transportation Capital Group announced the formation of CARU Specialized Leasing Pte Ltd., a new joint venture that will focus on non-commoditized containers.

   CARU Containers has partnered with private investment firm Transportation Capital Group to create a new container leasing company called CARU Specialized Leasing Pte Ltd.
   The new joint venture will focus on the leasing of non-commoditized containers and offer “the product expertise and high service levels required by the operators of specialized equipment,” CARU Containers said.
   CARU Specialized Leasing will be led by a management team of Frank Vaughan, Tim May, Rick Reid and David Sprod, who have an average of 25 years of international container leasing experience.
   With offices in Europe, the United States and Asia, the Netherlands-based CARU Containers is one of the largest container traders worldwide and has over 20 years of experience in container leasing and trading, according to a statement from the company.
   CARU Containers said TCG manages “significant” other container investment portfolios as well, and has over 20 years of experience in the container industry.
