The third party logistics provider has started construction on a new 166,000 square-meter DC complex in Truganina, west of Melbourne.
CEVA Logistics has started to build a new 166,000 square-meter “super site” at Truganina, west of Melbourne, which will be the “centerpiece” of the thied party logistics provider’s expansion in Australia and New Zealand markets.
“Our new Truganina ‘super site’ builds on a range of other property developments we have underway in both countries, which will help us grow and keep meeting the growing needs of CEVA customers across diverse business sectors,” said Casey Fisher, managing director of CEVA in Australia and New Zealand, in a statement.
The Truganina complex will include four warehouses, and will focus on the region’s industrial, automotive, and retail customers. CEVA noted the site’s access to Melbourne’s roads, seaport and airport.
In addition to Truganina, CEVA is building a 30,000-square-meter car-carrying and freight management site at Pinkenba in Queensland, a 5,500-sqwuare meter extension to its Auckland facility in New Zealand, and a new 34,000-square-meter contract logistics and multi-user facility at Hazelmere in Western Australia, Fisher said.
