CARRIERPOINT TO LICENSE APPLICATION SUITE
CarrierPoint Inc., based in Atlanta, a provider of online logistics software solutions to the truckload freight market, said Tuesday that it will offer customers an option to license its proprietary software.
CarrierPoint’s logistics application suite has been available in a rentable application service provider (ASP) format.
The implementation of a recent licensing deal with NetLogistiK.com, a logistics marketplace in Latin America, convinced CarrierPoint’s management to “extend this option to corporate customers who desire the additional flexibility that licensing offers,” said Cliff Isaacson, CarrierPoint’s chief information officer.
“We'now offer a choice of either renting or licensing our logistics application suite,” he explained.
