CARGOSMART UPGRADES PORTAL
CargoSmart, the container shipping portal, has added a shipment coverage functionality to its system.
The new feature lets a shipper, forwarder or non-vessel-operating common carrier tailor the information that internal and third-party users see and receive.
“When a shipment’s status changes, all shipping parties need to know immediately so that they can make alternative plans to minimize costs,” a spokesman for CargoSmart said.
The three shipping lines linked to the multi-carrier shipping portal are OOCL, COSCO Container Lines and Malaysia International Shipping Corp.
