EMERY WORLDWIDE BEGINS WORK ON ASIAN LOGISTICS HUB

Emery Worldwide has begun work on a regional logistics hub at the newly developed Airport Logistics Park of Singapore.

Emery expects the Singapore $10.5-million ($5.8-million) terminal to be completed by the third quarter of 2002. The facility will offer 112,500 square feet of warehouse space, 17,000 square feet of which will be refrigerated, as well as 17,500 square feet of office space.

The new facility will be located within the Singapore Changi Airport Free-Trade Zone.

“This will be Emery's fourth global multifunctional complex in the world and the first in Asia,” said Peter Quantrill, vice president, international. “Singapore was chosen because of its sound business environment and timely opportunity that the government has opened up for us.”
