FCS offers Air AMS filing capability
Flagship Customs Services will begin to offer air carriers, deconsolidators and freight forwarders the ability to submit their manifest details to the U.S. Bureau of Customs and Border Protection’s Automated Manifest System.
“The CBP Air AMS system requires that every party involved in submitting air waybill data to do so as a distinct filer type,” said the Silver Spring, Md.-based Internet applications developer. “The Import2000 Air Service fully supports all three types of Air AMS filer.”
The company said its Air AMS program adjusts its functions, user screens and data validations to match the type of user and service level. FCS also provides a free software utility to enable and manage this flow of data. For more information, access the FCS Web site: http://www.tradegate2000.com.
The company’s Import2000 AMS Service for ocean shipments is used by more than 200 non-vessel-operating common carriers and some 20 ocean carriers. FCS also supports the Census Bureau’s free Internet link to the Automated Export System.
