U.S., BAHRAIN CONDUCT TRADE TALKS

   U.S trade officials met earlier this month with their counterparts from Bahrain to seek ways to improve bilateral trade relations and discuss economic reform and trade liberalization in the Arabian Gulf nation.

   Discussions follow the inaugural meeting of the U.S.-Bahrain Trade and Investment Framework Agreement Council in October. The United States is urging Bahrain to open up access to biotechnology and provide protections for e-commerce and intellectual property on the Internet.
