U.S. international air freight traffic down 6.1% in November

   U.S. international freight and express traffic fell by 6.1 percent in November, the eighth monthly decrease in a row, according to the latest statistics of the U.S. Air Transport Association.

   International freight and express traffic decreased to 974 million revenue ton-miles in November, from 1 billion in November 2002.

   For the first 11 months of 2003, international freight and express traffic dropped by 2 percent, to 10 billion ton-miles.

   The U.S. Air Transport Association reported lower November freight traffic figures for the Atlantic, Latin and Pacific routes.
