China Shipping, Norasia suspend Asia/Med service
China Shipping Container Lines and Norasia have suspended their joint Asia/Mediterranean “AMX” container service until further notice.
A spokesman for Norasia said his company has temporarily suspended the AMX service “due to operational issues,” but did not elaborate.
The Asia/Mediterranean trade is believed to be expanding, although carriers continue to face an escalation in the cost of chartering containerships and a scarcity in available vessels.
