Lowe’s selects Cardinal as 3PL for three states
Home improvement retailer Lowe’s has selected Cardinal Logistics Management Corp. to provide dedicated delivery services for 34 Lowe’s retail locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey, the third party logistics firm announced Tuesday.
Delivery services provided by Cardinal will originate from the Minersville, Penn., Lowe’s distribution center. The three-year, $4.5 million contract was awarded to Cardinal on March 20 and represents an expanded business opportunity for Concord, N.C.-based 3PL.
“We were pleased to be able to jump in and supplement the growing service needs that Lowe’s needed in their northeast retail market,” Jerry Bowman, Cardinal’s president and COO, said in a statement. “Cardinal was brought on board right in the midst of Lowes’ busiest season. I’m proud to say that our operations team provided seamless delivery service for this customer during what would be described as an intensely busy time of year,” he continued. “We are honored to be working alongside the Lowe’s management team and look forward to helping them extend their long-standing service commitment partnership with this leading home improvement retailer.”
