MAERSK LOGISTICS BENELUX, HT INTERNATIONAL TO MERGE

Maersk Logistics said Monday that Maersk Logistics Benelux B.V. will merge with HT International BV, effective Jan 1.

HT International is part of Safmarine Container Lines, which A.P. Moller Group — Maersk Logistics's parent — acquired in 1999.

Headquarters for the new Maersk Logistics Benelux will be moved to Distripark Eemhaven in Rotterdam, from Rhoon. The company has offices in Moerdijk, Hoofddorp, Antwerp and Brussels, including warehouses in Rotterdam, Europoort and Moerdijk.

Peder Winther is managing director of the merged company, and John van der Knapp will be the general manager for quality and procedures.
