INTERNATIONAL ASSET SYSTEMS INTRODUCES DRAYAGE CONTAINER SYSTEM

   International Asset Systems, a provider of online container management systems, has introduced an application to enable ocean carriers and truckers to tender, view and track container pick-up and delivery orders online.

   The IAS Transport Manager application addresses the need to fill information gaps between shipping lines and truckers, the company said.

   Using IAS Transport Manager, ocean carriers and logistics providers send electronic requests for container movements to pre-selected contract transport providers, who then accept or decline the transport orders. Upon

acceptance, IAS tracks progress of the move by capturing gate events at facilities such as terminals, shipper premises, or consignee distribution centers, and provides visibility of status back to the party ordering the

move.
