Associated British Ports and Volga-Dnepr announce appointments, and two female leaders are tapped for new positions.
Pedersen will replace James Cooper, who is stepping down after 10 years as leader of the largest U.K. port group, in August.
Pedersen joined APM Terminals in 2008 as vice president of business development in Latin America, based in Panama. He was involved in investment projects across Brazil, Costa Rica, Mexico and Peru before taking over as chief executive of APM Terminals Asia Pacific in 2012. He was appointed group chief financial officer in 2015 and chief commercial officer in 2017.
Volga-Dnepr Group has appointed Paul Nolan as fleet development director.
Nolan has worked in aviation commerce for over 30 years, most recently spending more than 15 years as senior vice president of aircraft asset management for DVB Bank SE. He also has held management positions at Rolls-Royce, the Royal Bank Canada and the Industrial Bank of Japan.
Nolan, who will be based in London, will be responsible for the efficient fleet development of Volga-Dnepr Group’s cargo airlines in accordance with adopted strategies and customers’ and partners’ service needs.
AFFLINK, a global provider of supply chain management, has promoted Amy MacDonald to the position of vice president of packaging.
She has more than 25 years of management experience, including executive positions with Pitney Bowes, Corporate Express, International Paper (xpedx) and SupplyOne. During the past 11 years, MacDonald has focused primarily on industrial and food packaging.
She is replacing Ron Moyer, who is retiring.

Parker Harrison, vice president of procurement for Crowley Maritime Corp., has been named president of the U.S. chapter of the Women’s International & Shipping Association (WISTA).
The appointment was approved by the board at WISTA USA’s annual general meeting in New York City.
Harrison takes over the presidency from Alexandra Anagnostis-Irons of Total Marine Solutions. Also serving on the WISTA USA board are Jeanne Grasso of Blank Rome LLP; Frances Keeler of Clyde & Co. (U.S.); Laura Sherman of International Registries Inc.; Boriana Farrar of Shipowners Claims Bureau Inc.; Kathy Haines of Heidmar Inc.; and Kathy Plemer of Chaffe McCall LLP. The membership also elected Marlene Boyer of Chembulk Tankers to the board.
Harrison has been a member of WISTA USA since 2004 and has served as membership secretary since 2008.
WISTA is an international networking organization for women in management roles in the maritime industry and related trades. It has nearly 3,000 members in 40 countries.
