HAMBURG SUD’S TURKISH OPERATIONS BEGIN
Hamburg Sud Turkey, a sales, marketing and logistics organization of the Hamburg Sud shipping group, will commence operations in Istanbul, Izmir and Mersin on Feb 1.
The German group said that having a company-owned affiliate will allow fast decisions in the Turkish market. Hamburg Sud Turkey will replace former third-party agent Catoni Deniz Isleri A.S.
In addition to the southbound and northbound north Europe/Mediterranean services, Hamburg Sud will offer in Turkey transshipment connections to South America and the Caribbean.
